Bloody Flies!
Out of the corner of my beady eye,I see him again, little black fly.
As with poems and words I'm constantly toying,
I find his presence so bloody annoying!
Round and round he circles the room,
trying to swat him, I just start to swoon.
Mother sits there watching me try,
saying,"Norma you'll get him I'm sure by-and-by,
but I think you'd find him much easier to thwack,
if only an elephant sat there on his back!"
This little black fly I really detest,
mother says he was put on the Earth as a pest.
He's certainly that, I feel I must say,
and I'll get no peace 'til he just flies away.
O God he's still here, and driving me mad.
If I could just swat him, I'd really be glad.
Not much else can I think of to say,
except that this fly is just ruining my day!
