Destiny Path
I'm at a standstill,Contorted blankness gilded upon my face.
Untouched by roaring winds billowing up the path.
I said- be steadfast.
I turn and wonder where it goes from here.
Which days are lost and what is remembered.
To be tortured and afflicted in hour less time.
I muttered- be steadfast.
As I watched the world go by,
Leaving me on a decrepit side walk.
I ran my finger up my arm.
I whispered- be steadfast.
Images long after their time flash forward.
Voices suffocated in fearful horror.
All mixed up but all meaning the same.
I prayed- be steadfast.
I'm back where I started; the very beginning.
In pursuit of thought, matter and feeling far gone.
The journey's end is here, and now.
I will never be steadfast.
