Homeland

any place
and
no place
but
some place
maybe?

search
longing
finding
misinterpretation
along highways
and
untrodden paths
in the labyrinth
of life

some places
just
appearing to be
and some places
being what they appear

crawl along
you may
run all the way
you can try
but walk
you must
either way

travel
free like
a fluffy white cloud
one direction
or other
and maybe
maybe
some place
any place
or
no place at all
you shall
want to
plant those
thirsty roots
you have carried along
in good hope
all the way

Sometimes we can travel far and wide searching for our 'one true home' never realising that it is not necessarily a place, a time, a season or even a person but our homeland is all these things for home is where the heart is and we can search high and low not realising it is there all the time in the quiet still moments of our heart, had we but looked there. Thank you. This really made me feel where my home is.
