To a poetess supreme

To a poetess supreme
Rhapsodies and melodies in magnificent radiance
Regale the inner sanctums of my mind
Words of love written with celestial tenderness
Are pearl drops bearing nectar oh sublime

Like treads of gold racing across the pages of my dreams
Much words penned with such eloquence and prose
As in unknown garret I peruse her ever prodigious reams
I visualise her in the resplendence of repose.

No more shall she be the daughter of some deep obscurity
Emerging as if butterfly with wings
She wears the gown of plenty in her truth and honesty
As to my eyes her thoughts do teardrops bring

She scaled the walls, the palisades, the fortress of my heart
I feel within our hour of destiny
No longer in the first illusion of that tender path
I shall respond with everything I be.
Brendan.
