There is a house in Albany where love resides
The House Across The Street by M.A.Meddings
Excuse me pretty lady
Did I ever tell you
That I have fallen in love with you
Did I ever say
The way you make me feel
Do you know how
You make my senses reel
The moment that I see you
And that house across the street
It would be rather neat if it were ours
You know the one
The one you set your heart upon
The one with the porch
And old reclining swing
The one where the cardinals sing
Every morning just at dawn
The one where the windows
Open upwards on sash weight cords
The one your words
Spoke so endearingly of
the one that we could fill with love
Just old world enchantment
Small town America
Where we could live and make it ours
That house across the street
