Final Camelot by M.A.Meddings
Once upon a dream I was young
Once there was a time when my bones didnt ache as they do now
And I could shoot the eye out of a fly at 40 paces
Then my bow arm was strong and my arrows straight
Once when the world was green I had a dream
As if I were a king
And in that dream there became a queen
Who would love me tenderly
For I was a wandering knight in search of dragons to kill
Ladies to save from ogres
But as I grew on up in years
My tears didst flow
And search as I might
There was no queen in site
And I became a Paladin with a loving heart
Without a quest until she came
In the cold Decembr rain
Then I on an English street found my Camelot
Thus much older now I pause and see
That in the love of thee
I found the final Camelot
