Too far away to be brought back
How can I know if you speak the truth
When you promise me you never lie?
Was I too naive in my thirsting youth
Thinking that the feeling inside me would never die?
You tell me you love me
With all your spirit and all your heart
So I ask, is it my eyes that do not see
Or my soul that has been torn apart?
How can I know if it is a lie or just unease
Hiding in your eyes
This girl who you try so hard to please
Is starting to wonder if you even heard her cries
She spent alone a yearning summer
Spent each day thinking, waiting
For the prince to wake her from her eternal slumber
But as time passed by her grieving turned to hating
She wondered how he'd forgotten her so soon
In his mournful absence she cried
Wrapped herself in her lonely cocoon
As she softly, slowly died
