they loved me so much
they loved me
so much,
that
all i got
was
dis,
disapproval.
year in,
year out.
she always bolted
the door
at eleven,
though she knew,
i'd be there
soon,
always a bitter face,
a scowl of sheer contempt,
such hatred we shared,
and i never knew
why?
no dignity
no supper.
no supper
no love
no love
no home.
i left
the next day.
