Some fun with a loved one.
The Apprentice Pilot by M.A.Meddings
Praying for a passport
Hoping it wont rain
Thinking does the pilot
Know how to fly the plane
Just hope its not his last chance
To prove that he knows how
He's had three goes already
And failed each one some how
I got the ticket cheaply
From a spiv who looked quite shy
He said that they're a bargain
Now I know just why
The pilot is on his very last chance
It's his own last chance saloon
So I fly to Indiana
By the guidance of the moon
I am quite a gentle lover
Unrequited so at times
When they said he's a learner pilot
I said oh thats just fine
With my luck dearest lady
And the will to just survive
I will meet her in Albany
Then baby watch me jive
So I am praying for a passport
Hoping it dont rain
And the pilot really knows his stuff
So he will not fail again
