Invisible Angel
I write this missive now todayIn wish it reach a lady fair
And in it's prose I hope and pray
She understands my soul I bear
The words I write from deep within
Expressing thoughts so long in chains
For silence be my greatest sin
Of love that burns like endless flame
I would you know of how I feel
Of love I have so long repressed
These feelings I to you reveal
My chains to free my only quest
Tho' elusive love be in my life
For a solitary man I be
Forsaking love and all it's strife
In loneliness forever free
Until your face one night appear
You came to me as in a dream
I read your words so rich and clear
As they appeared upon my screen
As I perused your lilting prose
Those words revealing truth and pain
My heart did stop nay almost froze
To think like me you felt the same
And tho' to me your kiss unknown
And tho' in truth may never be
In my heart loves seed is sown
For a kindred spirit I see in thee
And as I lay in waking dream
My dreams of you so far away
Impossible as it may seem
I know I shall come find a way
And so I write of what I feel
As you lay now in slumber deep
To awake in morn as in surreal
To know I passed through as you sleep
