# Autumn #
The wind licks the soil
And her moist breath
Lets the cold dress
The Rowan trees in glitter

# Work Day #
I have missed out
so much today
Dawn
daylight
sidelight
and dusk.

# Damage #
When I look at your left eye with my right eye,
your nose looks broken and your right eye disappears.
Your mouth gets a scary smile
and your head a hole on the right side.
A dysfunctional retina offers me entertainment.

# Do I? #
I am fooling you even though
I keep telling you I am not
Playing with you as if
You were a toy for pleasure
My purpose is true
But I cannot live by it

# Cancer #
You are in a centrifuge, you tell me. Watching the essence of your system leaving your body. Some of it you get back but the stem cells will stay in the permafrost until they can return to daddy.

# Coffin #
We said we were going to cut down one of the giant lime trees that surround my farm and build a coffin each for future use. You always said you were in better shape than me and that I would be buried long before you. A year has passed after we first started talking about our coffins and the cancer is eating your body. The trunk of the lime tree has to dry for a year before we can start making our coffins. It is not cut down yet. Put death on hold.
