The Journey Back.

I feel the tide has lifted
Bright colours come my way
To lift my life to greater heights
But how long will they stay

I've fought this way for so long
Against the colours grey
Awaiting Rainbow hues and blues
To brighten up my day

And now they are upon me
That which i so revere
So why inside emotions hide
And now fills me with fear.

first off I miss a large 'I' in the third last row =P and 'tide' has to be one of the most beautiful words in english =)

Otherwise it's a very beautiful poem which really describes how I feel right now. I really like the imagery gray-rainbow...

but the last two lines is a little hard to understand. you get the point but if you read them carefully you only get confused, which I find a little irritating.

Keep up the good work!

Having read "Insight to my Life" earlier and having myself recently lost a wonderfully precocious young son to his long and hardly fought disease, I can only say whatever good comes our way today, go with it. Your poetry reawakens memory of the good things in life which sometimes, enveloped in our own grief, we forget.

Aw Graham,That is so beautifuly warm and refreshing:
"But how long will they stay"-
They will stay!
"So why inside emotions hide
And now fills me with fear."-
Because it is love!
The trepedition of love!

Another lovely read that gives warmth on these cold wet days and lifts one towards the bright colours leaving all the greys well behind.
