Personal

Daddies girl.

Ribbons of colours adorn her long hair
Her burnished tanned skin now so clear and so fair
Her face a magical incandescent glow
Her voice a melodious lyrical flow
As she sings a refrain once her daddies old song
The love of her life gone from her for so long

A tear trickles down first one today she has shed
As she kneels with her hands clasped beside her small bed
With her child's look of innocence upon her sweet face
In wonder of why he has gone without trace
To vanish like magic and no longer play
Since the night that those bad men did take him away

Though in her room there be much dolls and nice toys
She would much rather have daddies laughing blue eyes
In that time of her life when her daddy was here
And she knew nothing of sorrow as he held her so dear
Or said silly things while she sat on his knee
Just to hear her say daddy please don't you tease me

Until one night he hugged her and smiled
Saying don't worry sweetheart I'll be back in a while
But his smile turned to frown on his final embrace
And for the first time ever she saw tears on his face
For that was the night that the bad men did come
And shouted at daddy to put down his gun.

Vixen's Cub
It's very good but a bit sad towards the end.
