Water Reeds and Dragonflys

Sunny days and azure skies
Water reeds and dragonflies
Small green frogs on lily's sit
Watching midges as they flit
From reed to reed in endless flight
Their sole endeavour to breed and bite

The kingfisher ever watchful
In its irediscent grace
Sits immobile upon its perch
As if staring into space
The ripples on the surface
And the silver flash below
Signifies its mealtime
And it knows just where to go

The countryside in summer
Holds such beauty and delight
From rolling hills to bubbling streams
O cottages in white
It has that calming quality
To ease away the stress
Untill we head back to the city
To all the fumes and all the mess.

Yes the English countryside in summer is quite beautiful as is your poem, having worked in the "square Mile" all my life I connect the the last lines too.
