My love is like a red red rose and I found how precious it has become.
A Villanelle for a beautiful lady

For This Year The Days Of Late September Were So Beautiful by M.A.Meddings

For this year the days of late September were so beautiful
And even though it rained I kept you warm and safe
As we in ancestoral questing found this love complete

By border town and lowland stream we watched whilst others danced
Then sought the seat of your ancient line and found our love still strong
For this year the days of late September were so beautiful

And I recall at the house of Floors just how lovely were your eyes
When you turned your head and smiled that special way you reserve just for me
As we in ancestoral questing found this love complete

The Family Ross was at a loss until  came your gentle ways
For dont you realise that each word every phrase I speak signifies my love
For this year the days of late September were so beautiful

And I remember  this enchanted late September for you
For the Princess street excitement as you saw the Piper standing tall
As we in ancestoral questing found this love complete

Play the Black Bear just for a lady I softly cry and wipe the tears of happiness from your eyes
Then I tell you that I love you for I do and the piper sees it too as he plays
'My love is like a red red rose'
For this year the days of late September were so beautiful
As we in ancestoral questing found this love complete

...and life is sometimes so complete ... then and there is nothing that could break the strong bond of love ...

this is a soft and gentle poem where reality overtakes poetry ....

all my best to you both

How do I answer this beautiful poem of love--our real undying love that has been burning for now over a year though we both tried to label it, ignore it, hid it (even from ourselves) this flame has burned eternally. And now our love has grown into the warmth of a fire that burns brighter, stronger, longer, all without end.
these beautiful times you write tenderly about are forever etched into my mind. This mind that already contains your smiles, your tender words, your gentle caring, your undying adherence to a respect and honor that you my darling knight have bestowed upon me, your fairest rose of Albany. I am your Katherine and I will love you forever. You are my Michael, my last romantic hero, who I shall love with all my heart and cling to even in the winter seasons of our years and beyond...
I love you. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxyb
