Aspects of love
I have known the emotions referred to as loveAnd have traversed that path getting lost many times
I have soared with elation on clouds far above
And am aware the emotion is close to nigh sublime
Love comes from nowhere, a gradual thing
A collusion of thoughts, an intangible web
Appearing at first in a song you may sing
Bringing to mind something she may have said
Awareness of presence, of time, and yes place
A warm glow a candle to light up your dark
An increasing appearance in your thoughts her face
The first holding of hands as you walk in the park
A constant and growing convergence of thought
A fusion, a sameness, a meeting of mind
A merging, a confluence of all you both sought
A realisation that love can be often too kind
For within this mystical magical stupor
Come glimpses of love's fragile uncertainty
A careless aside a comment from her
Would she love another, someone better than me
And in the confusion of life's ebb and flow
Do not take for granted a love ever true
Possessions are items you buy soon to go
A bird in cage shall resentful thought's brew
And in your first intimate frantic embrace
Remember that love is something to share
The love of your life would not you replace
If you show her in deeds not in words that you care.
