Dangerously Gone

I'm reckless and free,
You'll never hurt me,
At least that's what I say.

I'm stupid and dumb,
While drinking this rum,
I know real soon I'll pay.

You're screaming my name,
No longer the same,
As my ears once heard you.

I'm leaving this town,
On forty east bound.
It's all I know to do.

Just leave me alone,
I'll find me a home,
I'll do what I can,
(I'm only a man)
I'm no longer there,
I don't really care.
I think I'll be fine,
(I'm no longer blind)

Justin I hear the words in this poem a cry of love deep down

I hope things are fine
Hey man stay
Dont jump that greyhound line
Reckless and free nice to see
But is your heart aching
And stay off the booze
Dont waste good liquour
Theres so much to loose
Besides its so much quicker
To find another at your age

well done a fine poem rgds Mike
