my best friend who finally was released from her cage of hell of abuse, but she took a step further and took her fathers life..
Locked in a cage this child feels
Deep inside she tries to get out
Deep within she is full of pain
Inside she cries out,the abuse
she know there will be another
terrifying night
There is no freedom or escape
The cage she lives in
every day and night
The fact is, this child is raped
Over and over again
She lies still to survive
Her fear sets in
The only way she can cope
Is to stay silent,
In her cage where her
only escape is in her mind
This child is sentenced to internity
While the guilty man walks freely
Locked away is all her shame
She cannot help, she feels
all the blame
Even though common sense is
She should learn it is not her fault
As an abused child, her mind is set
She can't help what her thoughts
tell her
She keeps going back in time
What ifs,enter her mind
But fear kept her frozen
Kept her locked in a cage
A child that didnt have
the strength to fight
Locked in a cage
Treated like animal
Used and abused
Not a living thing
should ever be
mistreated or
abused in
anyway
With every touch
A part of this little girl died
Now as an adult she is in prison
In a cage with four walls,
A place where she will no
longer be free
You see she took the easy way out
She took his life, the one that abused her
A place in her mind she thought the only
way to be free was murder
She now faces prison time
When as a child she lived in a cage,
A choice that noone should ever have to do
She took the one person who took
her innocense,who robbed her
of the little girl she once was
You see she is my childhood friend
We grew up together, and I never
saw with my own eye's the pain
she was in,until she was in her
teens,she came clean
She took her fathers life
on a cold November day
In 94
A day she broke free, she told me
She is my best of friend today
She is free and living again
She is now out of her cage
But if she could change
what she had done
She would..
Never take a life for a life she tells me
Even the abuse she went through
If she only told, this would not of
happened,he would of been
behind bars,
She said he would be in his cage
A place where he should of
been long ago..
We can not judge, when we never have
been abused,we cannot stand in her shoes
We can only try and understand and
give her love and support
I just had to write about my best of friend
My first time writing of what she had to
go through and how I love her and that
nothing has changed,of who she is
today,she is a survivor
love you Cheryl
