Just one for those with children hope you like it.
Who sought fortune as well as fame
And though small, he was utterly fearless
Which was how he got his name
Now Dreadnought was a teddy bear
Quite scruffy some might say
With four black paws, and one good eye
The other he lost along the way
But looks can be deceiving
Inside, there beats a heart of gold
And as i said he was quite fearless
For a teddy that's quite bold
Of course we have all heard of Rupert
Also Paddington and Pooh
But there are many bears out there
And they are just a few
Now our tale begins in storyland
Where imagination rules
And the sun shines down in daytime
And also night time too
Now this can be annoying
And Dreadnoughts feelings ran quite deep
If theres one thing that all teddys love
Its not just honey, but also sleep
So Dreadnought thought both long and hard
Un till his brain felt just like glue
"I know I'll go see Grizzly bear"
He must know what to do
But the other bears thought Dreadnought mad
Because Grizzly was both fierce and mean
And if Dreadnought went into his cave
He might never be seen again
So Dreadnought set off for the hills
Not feeling quite so brave
Untill he stood before the hole
They called old Grizzly's cave
He filled his lungs and stood up straight
And yelled with all his might
"Is anybody in there"?
And the noise gave him a fright
"who wants to know"a voice boomed back
And "enter if you dare"
"Please sir we really need your help"
"I'm Dreadnought, the teddy bear"
"You are the wisest bear in storyland"
"And we don't know what to do"
"As the sunshines down in daytime"
"And also nightime too"
"You silly bear "the voice boomed back
"You don't belong up here"
"Go back home its bedtime"
"you've nothing more to fear"
"When you get home and tucked in bed"
"Just think about whats right"
"You know that it is nightime"
"So just switch off the light"
Now all the teddy's in storyland
Are proud of Dreadnought bear
For they all sleep inside at night
And dream without a care.
THE END.
