This is a small tribute to my father, whom I loved so much...
There is an evening star that twinkles,
which winks at me in a graceful starry circle,
I think of the star as my loving father
watching over me from his heavenly tower
The star still twinkles, thankfully not going away
It gives me a strange joy with my heart beating away
I ask for courage, I ask to be brave
to face the world without his wisdom so grave.
It seems to say to me to follow my heart,
where-ever it goes go with a spring in step
Don't live your life only for yourself
You are here for a definite purpose,
You are remembered not for your wealth
but the deeds you do that are golden in worth.
It awakens in me a feeling of brotherhood,
a feeling of joy to remain in all likelihood!
