A poem about someone I know that is addicted to pain pills.

Your Curse

Your salvation in a bottle,
You're crucifiction at ease,
The urge is scratching at you,
Like a bitch with fleas.

The essence of the fact,
Is no better than the rest,
I contridict your morals,
Just to put them to the test.

Just lay it all down,
There is no despair,
There are some side effects,
There's some already there.

I've watched it wage war,
Decimation takes it's toll,
It's ripped out your being,
And tossed you out cold.

Though the perils are risky,
And you are easy to scare,
Just look around you,
Can't you see that we care.
