Just a thought or two...
and wears her mourning cloak.
She's angry with us humans,
pathetic planet-folk.
She finds it hard to understand,
although I'm sure she tries,
how we disrespect life-giving Earth,
she can't believe her eyes.
In sending endless rainfalls,
causing deep and dangerous floods,
engulfing little houses
and ruining our goods.
Overflowing rivers,
storms and gales and snow,
it's Mother Nature weeping,
my heart says this is so.
Our fields out here still flooded,
farmers' crops a slimey mess,
when we're cold and staving hungry,
the problems we'll address.
The Japanese have floated
their monstrous factory ships,
and roam the southern ocean
on evil whaling trips.
The Brits still love their junk food,
though the evidence decrees,
we don't need this fat and protein,
let's share a little please.
With other starving nations,
some drinking only mud,
our selfish greed consumes us all,
not doing any good.
Our animals are tortured,
locked in sheds and birthing pens,
to feed us greedy humans,
is not what God intends.
Mother Nature can't forgive us,
that seems to be quite plain.
Our self-inflicted woes and curses,
worse by far, than Hers.

Mother Nature in Mourning.
Mother Nature's weary, and wears her mourning cloak.

she can't believe her eyes.
