Futility Of War.

I've seen in dreams
The tears and screams
Sunsets drenched in blood
Flailing limbs in cordite
In a sea of dark brown mud
Faces white with bloodshot eyes
The terror all to plain
Raised hands in supplication
In plea's to end the pain
Both young and old
Lie still and cold
Upon some foriegn shore
A testament to lives now spent
On the futility of war.

War is futile, here because during the 2nd world war we were occupied, there are so many memorials and stones and you see the names of young men, barely out of school dead - and then we see the present situation and, when the hell will we learn that war is futile? Greed, avarice, politics and mans inhumanity toward one another - good words Graham
