Eventually there were more victims accredited to him and some light has at last been cast on his true identity, but will we ever know beyond a shadow of doubt?

Jack The Ripper.

His name was Jack the Ripper
The scourge of London Town
He sought out painted ladies
And left them with a frown

This demon stalked White Chapel
To strip and rip with glee
This demonic fiend or so it seemed
Was destined to go free

He flashed his blade in dead of night
A butcher straight from Hell
To rip the guts of so called sluts
And no one saw to tell

Was it revenge as some would have
On these poor creatures of the night?
Or the act of one who killed for fun
And revelled in their fright

Five lives he was to take in all
And a place in History
But the one called Jack The Ripper
Still remains a mystery.

I don't like the subject of your poem, but must admit to be fascinated by it. The poem is great, although i don't like the subject, your skill carried me along.
Ahem! Could the culprit be Prince Philip? Ha ha!

Kathy Lockhart
oh my this is another very enjoyable and dark poem. And, again Johnny Depp was in a film about this character called, From Hell.
The movie had it's own ideas, of course, of who it was, a doctor to the Queen. Are we watching the same films? lol
