Within A Dream.
Drifting on a whisperUpon the winds of time
For the shadow in the candlelight
To take back what is mine
Will I stay for all eternity
Is there more to lose then gain
Will the moonlight dance among the stars
Their wishes to reclaim
I am no more a figment
A thought within a dream
The breath caught in the silence
Before a sudden scream
I am as moisture in the air
The tear before it falls
The one enclosed in darkness
Unseen in shadows on the walls
The voice that whispers in your ear
Of pleasures from afar
The one who wanders in your sleep
In silks from Kandahar
I am the pleasure and the pain
To seek but never take
Be yours to hold forever more
At least till you awake.
