Viva Vita

Placed In Pockets

Stones may be placed into pockets
Flooded rivers may let you ease
Reeds and greenness to please you along
Through your lushness and your unease.

Not strong you knew
How to be very silent.

How can so very many violets
Placed into your pocket
Choose to wave your empathy
Far away from him and me
Madness is surely a given thing.

Of course empty pockets cannot sing.

Placed
In Stone
With new pockets that are quite
Bulging.

I like Virginia's water.
Down stream
Is where we need to go.
God forbid the nervousness
And the sweet monosyllabic rashness.
