View from the shoulder of a giant...
Those which adapt, evolve, persist will write
what is, what was, and what shall come to be, while
those doomed firemen, callous politicians, excited talking heads
make issue with indignant desert birds, unaware
the slouching beast is closer, more familiar
and far, far, far more terrible.

To William Butler Yeats
Turning faster; some things barely cling while others spin away. Those which adapt, evolve, persist will write
what is, what was, and what shall come to be, while
those doomed firemen, callous politicians, excited talking heads
make issue with indignant desert birds, unaware
the slouching beast is closer, more familiar
and far, far, far more terrible.
