Showers of Flowers.
Showers of Flowers.
Princess of Spring, she's here again,
showers of flowers and showers of rain.
How dearly we love Her! Welcome indeed,
but her reign, well, it passes with far too much speed.
Daffy-down-dillies, snowdrops and all,
these lovely Spring flowers, some small and some tall.
Forget-me-nots peeping,
they'll soon make a show -
- a blue mist of remembrance,
how sweetly they grow.
Soon will come Lilies-
of The Valley, so pure,
if your heart is in mourning,
here is a cure.
April we love you, I wish you would linger...
in my beech tree there tunes up a wonderful singer.
Spring starts the wheel of nature again,
showers of flowers and sweet April rain.
