creative writing-- a 'perspective' poem - from the point of view of another.
i guess a little overly light-hearted for me...
do you see me?
why must i act, to catch your
attention? why the goofy grin,
the overdramatic reaction --
every time you leave?
isn't my love enough?
i wake you in the morning,
gentle and sweet; i have watched
our children grow up; we have
grown old together -- and
this, this is the reward you
give me? all i want is
your loving touch in return for my
undying loyalty, but you --
you throw me a dog biscuit.
