My grandson's first steps into the world.
Fell, you decided that crawling was just fine.
But today you push away the ground and your
Little backside, ducklike, sticks straight up,
The new muscles tense; you are standing again.
Weaving slightly, intoxicated with new,
You take another step into the world.

Terry is Walking
Just a week ago when youFell, you decided that crawling was just fine.
But today you push away the ground and your
Little backside, ducklike, sticks straight up,
The new muscles tense; you are standing again.
Weaving slightly, intoxicated with new,
You take another step into the world.
