For my niece, just turned 50.
To the world of wise women
We have lived long, loved much.
We have plunged into dark seas
And come up triumphant,
Shaking silver drops.
Splashing then in glee,
Getting people wet,
We hug them fiercely,
Glad of living, loving touch.
Our bright eyes glow
In faces worn with care.
Welcome -
It's wonderful here.
