The Wilting

A beautiful rose,
Rapidly wilting.
The red of its petals,
Continuously fading.
Losing life and all of its colour,
Without its care,
It will surely falter.
The once vibrant flower,
In its all beauty shone.
But as the days crawl by,
Its flamboyancy shall darken.

What once brought people gladness
Shall fade amongst the weak
As it finally ends its journey –
It can no longer seek
The one that completes it,
Makes it feel whole.
So as the last petal falls,
It says Goodbye to this cruel world.
