Does He Cry?
Does he really know everything? Are we really living in a plan,
Do we have any control
On when we stay or
When we go.
Is he really the puppet master
Of the world he made
Does he really know when
We stay and when we go?
As I look up at the stars tonight
I wonder if what I think is right
Wonder if
He knows it all
If we really have no control
Does it matter how we "roll"?
Does it matter
What we say or what we do
If He really knows
when were coming home
And It's never up to you
If He already knows,
I wonder if he cries
When one of his children
Has to die.
When he rips them free
From all they know
Does he cry
When he sees the sorrow?
I wonder why he makes tomorrows
When you never know
if one is yours
it's a mystery that
you cannot see
until the next morning
when you come to your feet
I wonder if he cries
When one of his children dies
Even if they come home
They've been ripped away
From the one they've always known.
