Valentine Lost

St. Valentine,
in death,
gave sight to a child.

This is my first Valentine's day
since you left our earth walk.

What now my journey,
this gift of life?

My vision and dreams
are blurred
by teary eyes
and a screaming stillness.

The days march on,
some filled
with the heartbeat of work
and mundane reality.

Others grasp
only my soul
as I begin
to live
in a world empty
of you.

I feel so lost
and yearn
for your warmth
and sweet embraces,
being one with you.

Guide my spirit
from where you are,
shine a glowing light,
and hold me in my dreams
this night,
illuminate the road ahead
so that I might see.

Happy Valentine my love.
