The lesson of love, taught through the words of a master, expressed through the words of a young boy.

Cicerone

The sun is setting my old friend
The day bids you goodbye again
The books of then and now will close and seal
A road is waiting just for you
You know 'cuz you've been waiting too
You're gonna go, you know it's the real deal

Should you ever see the white light
Don't let fright succumb you, fight
Until the hammer's nailed the coffin hard
I know because you've told me
Ever faithful, cicerone
I'll sing you to sleep, you master of the bard

*
All your lessons, all your teachings
Leave to me, I'll use them well
And I'll carry you within me all the time
All the happiness and bliss
Kiss your withered soul to rest
Let it carry you, forever, all the time
*

I see some sun battered morning
You are there, without your warning
And the lady of the hills is next to me
She'd look up, and I'd look down
I see laughs we'd throw around
And I see you, in the trees, my cicerone

*
All your knowledge, all your love
Leave to me, I know them well
You're behind my every syllable and rhyme
All your grins and all your nods
Points you towards all your gods
Let them keep you safe for all the rest of time
*
