mirror mirror
mirror mirror, cracked and witheredunder the subtle slash of times edge
scarred by the burden of forever relaying the faces that we dread.
fingerprints stain the pure clear flesh
splintering features in this glass breast
stain glass tint
deep red
hung so high, above mortal eyes
split in so many ways
teasing the perverted mind,
and the shames you hide away
gaze deep inside, be all that you can be
an object of all desire;
acceptance of the mirror
mirror mirror dirty windows, the dirt seeps
filling in the cracks of your facade
cleared by the secrets
into the darkness shadow of a dove
into the dull pale eyes of a swan
into the death of a star
beyond the image a beautiful soul remains
untouched
look harder
into the blinding reflection of a mirror
