Who says Mother Nature can't party?

The Electric Tree

Electric tree stands tenderly
With her shocking blue boots on
The ribbon clouds and clods of light
Smile happily beyond

And when the strobe comes out
To hang the neon stars aloof
A shooter fizzles by so fast
It sparks right on the roof

Currents of high voltage
Wash their lines up on the beach
And bathe all of those superfly fish
With their gills just out of reach

And by the time the flashlight
From his hand blares in our eyes
The crickets turn the music down
To then apologize
