The Fourth poem in my Journey Series,
about facing a choice/hurdle in your
goals/dreams and having to decide.
~L.~
Joyfully, on my individual journey
Down the path of life I whistle along
Carefree until SUDDENLY,
The Crossroads of choice I stumble upon.
A blissfully ignorant road continues ahead,
An easy–way–out option's to the right,
The HARD way is to my left,
And behind's (of course) reversing away in fright.
My goals lead down the left path,
But over my head, out of my depth they seem,
Although the right looks easier,
It could mean throwing away my dream.
ALAS, ignorantly I could continue in my ways,
And blissfully just keep strolling ahead,
But the certainty, I KNOW is,
Reversing would lead to my BIGGEST regret.
