Cerulean Serenade
Have you ever been caught in a cerulean serenadeWith the cool taste of lemonade hitting your lips
But the wisest and firmest of grips won't let go
And the alabi's winter lacks overdue snow
That jackets the chapel and jackelopes blue
With a petrified thirst for the cornered crusade
Have you ever been caught in a cerulean serenade?
Have you ever laid waste to a city unmade
With the faintest idea of aquaintences built
Has the guilt ever thrown you or pushed you aside
Have you ever denied when your soul says you lied
When the musical brute rampaged into the dew
With a high horse of memory that never quite stayed
Have you ever been caught in a cerulean serenade?
I will ask you once more before silver screens fade
Of a childhood memory in the back of your sphere
You can hear your own love for your family trace
You can taste your own hate to the rivals you face
You can feel every lullaby piercing your heart
You can see every train that was late to depart
But the smell is the captain of that hard brigade
Have you ever been caught in a cerulean serenade?
