I enjoy writing Villanelles, they are a hard taskmaster but the rewrds are fruitful and lasting.
May all your days be bright and you too can dance until the dawn rises.

On a day so fair and bright, the sun shone full and clear,
An angel stands in the morning bright, a song so rich and sweet,
Laugh she said, be not surprised of a moment choice and dear.
The timid leaves heard and swayed with rhythm and no fear,
Home is where your love may be be there and be complete,
On a day so fair and bright, the sun shone full and clear.
Brush away the mist of trouble, love is a companion so near,
Remember the joy and passion, let it not be short nor fleet,
Laugh she said, be not surprised of a moment choice and clear.
And the joy will spread, drawing all people near,
For the world will rejoice and sing to a joyful beat,
On a day so fair and bright, the sun shone full and clear.
As the world sings, so she will heal, hate is in defeat,
We will dance in the moonlight until the morning heat,
Laugh she said, be not surprised in a moment choice and clear.
And as she sang, I listened to her tune so near,
Saw she was a bird of the morning chorus, singing no defeat,
On a day so fair and bright, the sun shone full and clear,
Laugh she said, be not surprised of a moment choice and clear.

One Joyful Day
On a day so fair and bright, the sun shone full and clear,

On a day so fair and bright, the sun shone full and clear.
