In this time of ice and cold here in the Northern Hemisphere a little ray of light to warm your soul.
Colinxxx
From the first movement, you enchant us with your solar beams,
Awakening the world from heady sleep, turning warm from.
Caressing my window, in a thousand, myriad, golden streams,
You call awake to the world, returning the colours so bold.
The joy of your presence, enlightens our souls and hearts,
And makes the way sweeter, brighter and so fair.
Free glorious epoch, your energy is life, to all it imparts,
Rhythm of creation, unfolds, born for all nature to share.
Yet sometimes, your presence is too hard and hot to endure,
Running for the shade, finding hard the small essence of water.
But no blame is yours, a heart that is always innocent and pure,
When you are not there, we crave your presence, making the night shorter.
Your equation is beauty, enjoyment and infinite fun,
That enthrals us to your glory, our own glorious sun.
