Hoping my mom would love me someday. Love me enough to say " I'm sorry". I question myself every day; My fault?
Thinking of you,
bring back memories.
None of them do me well.
Why can't you be,
the mother I wished
you would be.
Once you were.
You said no,
every time I questioned you.
You said no, to protect yourself.
You didn't protect me.
Your eyes were bleeding,
your heart was afraid.
But you stood there,
didn't do anything.
You asked me why,
was it my fault?
Yes was the word that
your mouth would say.
I love you,
you said,
but sorry was a word
unknow to you.
