Happy Pendent
I’m the happy pendent hanging from your neck
I’m the greedy creeper eating at your flesh
I’m your enemy’s greatest flaw
I’m your lucky mascot’s claw
I’m tied down to you
In every way I can think of
I’m yours
Even when I want to unbelong
I never was as pretty as you
Just the happy pendent that adorns your neck
I never was as rich as you
Just the greedy creeper eating at your flesh
What limb am I to your team?
I’ve become your enemy’s flaw, your mascot’s claw.
And how I cling on with those talons
Digging deep into your comfort blankets
Shredding them to pieces.
