A different take on those annoying little flakes

Flurry's Folly (Rubaiyat Challenge)

A light flurry of snowflakes fall
Happy now, the children all
But they know not of snow's true face
A flurry's truth would kids apall

Flurries hit like master's whip
Wipe life and warmth away with rip
Bring sadness with white frilly lace
Keep cold a' bitting at my lip

Flurry's folly is winter's curse
The normal joy it does disperse
From hearts, with quite a sting like mace
Making days, all the worse.

I quite like this different take on snow flurries...it's rather refreshing after all the silly fluffy stuff about how pretty they are and how they bring joy to everybody. X) Love the cynicism!
