The Unexpected Ace (Rubaiyat)




An English teacher who could not spell
had to teach the class from hell
chairs broken to make the fire burn,
might as well join 'em, it does no good to yell.

We'd better give teacher some respect
now she's joined in "What the heck???"
She's ruined the fun, by joining us kids going wild,
That's the ace she played, that we didn't expect.
