Masked love affair

Beloved unknown stranger,
although we have known each other for so many years,
I know nothing about you,
and maybe it is better that way,
since the better and the more I can love you
for all that which I don't know about you.
Maybe then it's also better
to remain strangers as lovers
in clandestine suspense
until one day we know more
about how little we know each other,
to be even more certain about the fact
that we don't know each other at all
and don't need to,
as long as we love each other.
