Watching, waiting

I watch you drinking your poison
It makes you feel better
It makes you look so much worse

Drinking to forget
Drinking to make you numb
Your dying inside

I watch you talk
With a fake smile across your face
Longing to be happy
Hoping for a friend

I watch you walk home
Stumbling two and throw
Contemplating your life
You start to cry

I stand outside your house
Ready to be with you

I see your shadow hanging

I missed you too
Here we are together again
Back in pleasure land
