SECRETS

Sick
Of being sick

Hearing your beautiful lies
Is better than hearing the ugly truth

Tired
Of being Tired

Everyone talking
Your in the crowd
You don't stick up for me
Show me some loyalty
No
Join in

With everyone to please
Gossip
Drama
Arguments
A pint
I'm bottom of the list
But everyone has their
SECRETS
You wont tell me about her
You don't know i know
But i wont tell you
How
Thinking of him
Stops me form crying
Thinking of him
Makes me smile
When we talk
I have no worries
When we text
I have no doubt

Thinking of you
Makes me sad
Thinking of you
Makes me angry
Thinking of you
Stops me from sleeping

If only you loved me
It wouldn't have come to this
If only you didn't have
SECRETS
Things would be different
If only you where honest

I could be with him

Eli The PoetBay support member heart!
It takes courage to share these thoughts, and that is a sign of the heart. Thank You.

Achernar
A potent and poignant lover's lament, but with a most hopeful note. The poem certainly has a wide appeal as entirely too many of it can so easily indentify with so much that you have related. Very fine write!!

Secrets do have a habit of souring relationships danielle! But, we can easily misunderstand why secrets are retained, by those we love, especiallly. Like you so sweetly demonstrate in your second couplet, better the devil we know.

Smiling at you, wishing you a peaceful escape, adulthood calls.
