This is a poem my friends on FB seemed to enjoy. Maybe ya'll enjoy it too. :)

Heartbreaker

If you've ever been crazy about a person,
But knew you could never say a thing,
Here's a raised glass to you.
Because you knew he didn't like you.
though your heart cried for years,
you couldn't tell him.
Your friends said he was stupid,
Your friends said to forget him.
But you know you couldn't.
You know you wouldn't.
You write in your Journal,
"How much I love you"
You'd wish upon a star,
You'd wait until 11:11.
Just to plead with the fates for his heart.
Knowing deep down,
it would never work.
Reality wrapped its cold hand around you,
crushing your lungs,
stopping your heart.
Whispering bitter words into your ears
"He'll never want you,
Why would he?
You're not pretty.
You're not smart.
He can do better."
Its the tug of war between dreams and reality
Some days you swear on dreams
blood stained, victorious.
Other days,
you wonder if you even had a dream.
You wonder if they had been erased.
