A lovely night boat trip sullied by the greed of men.. something I felt I had to share.

Tears in the Ocean

In a sultry breeze, a moonlit night,
On a great white bird, we took our flight
Across the sea, so clean, serene
Breath stolen by the heavenly scene
Dolphins dancing, seagulls cry,
Ocean sings to me her lullaby

I look deep into her sapphire eyes,
Reflections of us, and the star dust sky
Warm breeze whispers in my hair
Inhaling the magic, the sweet sea air
Lunar lights dance on velvet night,
Then a scene of horror takes my sight

Towards the dock, to shore, we soar
Two boats, three men or maybe more,
Taking fins from scores of baby sharks,
Something snapped inside my heart
Full of rage for my race, away I flee
Salt tears falling back into the sea

Purple Phoenix
I thought this sort of thing couldn't happen in our beautiful little town, it was of course reported this morning. A shocking thing to witness.

I hope we don't lose hope. You write from emotions, Miss Phoenix. Once again well portrayed.
